Job Description

Location: Liverpool/London
Reports to: Managing Director UK and COO

Hoxton Wealth is seeking an experienced driven and forwardthinking Operations Manager to oversee the daytoday operations of our rapidly growing UK financial planning practice. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency compliance and client service excellence as we scale our business globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the practice to ensure efficiency and scalability for future business growth.
  • Team Management: Work closely with our paraplanning and administration teams to deliver exceptional client service and achieve business objectives.
  • Compliance & Regulation: Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations GDPR AML legislation and other industry requirements to maintain the highest standards of governance.
  • Client Experience & Retention: Oversee client onboarding periodic reviews and retention strategies to enhance longterm relationships.
  • Process Optimisation: Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing efficient processes that support business growth.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain and enhance relationships with key stakeholders including advisors clients and external service providers.
  • Technology & Systems: Ensure the effective use of financial planning tools and platforms including our proprietary backoffice system cash flow modelling software and other research systems.
  • Business Strategy Support: Assist the leadership team in executing strategic initiatives expansion plans and operational efficiencies.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience in an IFA Operations Manager role with a track record of success in scaling financial planning operations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and drive performance within a team.
  • Indepth knowledge of financial planning investment management tax planning and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of building strong relationships with clients team members and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Fully conversant with financial technology platforms such as cash flow modelling tools and CRM systems.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations including FCA GDPR and AML legislation.
  • Highly organised detailoriented and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A professional personable and presentable approach to leadership and client engagement.

Qualifications

  • A relevant professional qualification such as the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of international financial advisory and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Previous experience with Power BI
