- About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and interactive Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 covering both physical and human geography as well as environmental issues.
- Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate fieldwork map skills data analysis and discussion of contemporary geographical challenges.
- Assess student progress through fieldwork reports presentations and examinations providing constructive feedback to enhance their geographical understanding.
- Organize and lead fieldwork opportunities to diverse locations.
- Contribute to the development of the geography curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives.
- Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Geography.
- A strong understanding of the secondary geography curriculum and effective teaching methodologies including fieldwork.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate male students in geography.
- Proficiency in using geographical software and resources.
- A passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering environmental awareness.
