The finance team is crucial for maintaining financial health and stability. This team comprises accounts payable tax and treasury payroll and investor relations. Together they manage financial planning transactions compliance and investor communications ensuring the organization operates efficiently and meets its strategic goals.
As a Group Reporting Accountant at Endava you will be responsible by providing timely effective and accurate support to the Group Reporting team in participating to the Group month end close process. You will be involved in accounting of share option plans under IFRS 2 and the preparation of the consolidated reporting pack. This requires a good understanding of the accounting standards high level of accuracy and attention to details alongside strong organizational and communication skills. However it will offer you the chance to develop advanced analytical abilities and strategic financial insights.
Key areas of responsibility
- Accounting for the share option plans for the Group under IFRS 2
- Involved in the preparation of the Group Consolidated Pack:
- Consolidation schedules
- Inquiry with local finance managers of significant variances
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the Group accounts
- Provide support for the preparation of the monthly accruals schedule and coordinate with local teams to ensure information is complete and accurate.
Other areas of support
- Work together with Group Reporting Team to ensure IFRS standards application across the Groups subsidiaries
- Support during the annual audit of the statutory financial statements including coordination with local auditor and preparation of underlying financial statements schedules.
- Adhoc activities:
- Involved in accounting treatment of oneoff transactions and preparation of the underlying accounting memo
- M&A support for the Group Reporting team during the transition period.
- Prepare the documentation (SOX requirements) to support capitalisation of internally developed assets.
Accounting and Reporting Support for the wider Group Reporting Team
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and provide input to the Local Finance Managers
- Support with the monthly quarterly and yearly Group reporting process preparation of financial information for various stakeholders both internal and external
- Supporting with SOx compliance requests
- Support the Group Audit process and interact with auditors.
Qualifications :
- 3 to 5 years of General Ledger experience or good understanding of accounting concepts
- Relevant experience in working with databases manually built in excel
- Opportunity to sign up for an international accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Oracle Fusion (General Ledger module is ideal but not essential)
- High quality written and verbal communication skills (English is a must)
- High level of accuracy attention to detail and ability to perform reconciliations
- Ability to change processes continuously and efficiently
- Capability to quickly understand complex business structures
