Location: Broad Street Sheffield
Salary:
Contract type: Fulltime & permanent
Hybrid office 2 days per week

As a Junior Software Tester at SBS youll play a key role in ensuring the quality performance and reliability of our software products. Working alongside experienced developers and testers youll gain handson experience with both manual and automated testing helping to shape the next generation of innovative solutions. This is the perfect opportunity to kickstart or grow your career in software testing while working in a supportive and fastpaced environment.
What will you be doing
- Executing manual and automated test scripts to ensure that the application software works flawlessly
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to identify log and resolve defects
- Develop an understanding of the software development lifecycle mastering techniques to analyse requirements design comprehensive test plans and execute a diverse array of test scenarios
- Translate complex technical information into actionable insights effectively reporting on test progress and defects to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications :
What are we looking for
- 12 years of experience in software testing (or a strong passion for quality assurance!
- Experience in the banking/finance industry is a bonus but not essential!
- A sharp eye for detail and an investigative mindsetyou love finding hidden bugs!
- Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and collaboration skillsyoull work closely with developers and stakeholders
- A drive to learn and adapt to new tools methodologies and best practices
- Basic understanding of software development standards and testing processes
