Senior Software Engineer AI Integration
A new strategic initiative within the insurance sector is breaking ground at the intersection of AI innovation and investment technology. Our client is building generative AIpowered applications designed to support advanced decisionmaking in financial services. This project offers the chance to collaborate with toptier analytics and investment professionals while applying cuttingedge tools like OpenAI Databricks and Azure to deliver highimpact productionready software.
What is in it for you:
Salaried: $68 to $73 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $83 to $87 per hour.
9month contract with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday Schedule: 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid role: Onsite once a week.
Responsibilities:
Application Development: Architect design and implement scalable robust and secure applications using Azure cloud services. Build application features using C# Node.js or Python (expertise in at least one is required).
AI Integration: Leverage Azure AI services to embed advanced machine learning and AI functionality into applications improving overall user experience.
LLM Optimization: Design and tune large language model API interactions using prompt engineering retrievalaugmented generation (RAG) context management and performance optimization techniques.
API Design & Integration: Build and integrate RESTful APIs GraphQL endpoints and cloudbased services to support application functionality.
Database Interaction: Work with relational and NoSQL document databases to ensure efficient data access and storage.
CI/CD Implementation: Set up and manage continuous integration and deployment pipelines to support automated testing and deployment.
Code Quality: Write clean maintainable and efficient code aligned with best practices. Participate in code reviews to ensure standards are upheld.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system architecture APIs and development processes.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
6 10 years of experience in software development with strong objectoriented programming and design skills.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language: C# Python or Node.js.
Experience integrating and optimizing large language models using frameworks such as LangChain and vector databases.
Practical experience working with Azure AI services or similar cloudbased AI tools.
Demonstrated experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including design and performance tuning.
Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also valuable).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (nice to have)
Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in crossfunctional environments.
A strong interest in AI innovation and driving automation through software.
Experience in the financial services or investment industry (nice to have).
Prior experience working in both startup and enterprise environments with an ability to adapt between agile innovation and structured delivery (nice to have).
Familiarity with infrastructurelevel decisionmaking such as API strategy and endtoend system design (nice to have).
