Job Description
Senior UX Designer
Our client in the insurance industry is hiring for a role supporting the design and implementation of a webbased framework that powers a generative AI tool used in investment research. The project plays a key role in supporting longterm strategic development. This position contributes directly to the delivery of userfocused solutions with responsibilities spanning UX strategy frontend engineering and collaborative development across teams.
What is in it for you:
Salaried: $75 to $85 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $90 to $100 per hour.
4month contract with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday Schedule: 9 am to 5 pm.
Hybrid role: Inoffice 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Lead the user experience design of a new Gen AIdriven web platform used by investment analysts.
Support and enhance existing applications built with Streamlit.
Propose and evaluate futurestate application stacks.
Design and implement reusable frontend components using Angular or similar frameworks.
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate and optimize APIs.
Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure high standards and maintainability.
Develop unit integration and endtoend tests to maintain a reliable frontend codebase.
Apply design thinking principles and lead UX strategy discussions within the team.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
5 to 8 years of experience in UX design focused on internal platforms and usercentered solutions.
Strong frontend development experience using Angular React or similar frameworks.
Proven ability to design and implement modular and reusable UI components.
Handson experience integrating RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with Streamlit and extending Streamlit applications.
Experience conducting code reviews and following development best practices.
Proficient in writing unit integration and endtoend tests for web applications.
Skilled with frontend build tools and package managers.
Experience with version control systems particularly Git.
Understanding of investment analyst workflows and the ability to design supportive platforms.
Knowledge of Java frameworks and CI/CD processes is an asset.
Ability to evaluate performance vs. functionality tradeoffs in UX design.
