Responsibilities and more:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Principal DevOps Engineer to be the sole AWS expert in our organization. This is a handson seniorlevel role where you will design implement and optimize our AWS infrastructure to ensure security scalability and high availability. You will work independently to establish best practices automate cloud operations and lead DevOps initiatives with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect & Optimize AWS Infrastructure Design implement and continuously improve our AWS environment for performance scalability and cost efficiency.
- Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Terraform AWS CloudFormation or similar tools.
- Security & Compliance Implement security best practices manage IAM roles/policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitoring & Incident Response Set up monitoring logging and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- CI/CD & DevOps Practices Enhance CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery leveraging AWSnative services.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery Design robust architectures to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Cost Optimization Monitor and optimize AWS spend to ensure costeffective infrastructure management.
- Collaboration & Leadership Work crossfunctionally with development product and operations teams to align AWS strategies with business goals.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10 years of experience in DevOps Cloud Engineering or related roles.
- Expertlevel knowledge of AWS services including EC2 ECS/EKS Lambda RDS VPC S3 IAM CloudFront CloudWatch etc.
- Proven experience with Terraform AWS CloudFormation or CDK for infrastructure automation.
- Strong understanding of database technologies (PostgreSQL DynamoDB Redis)
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions CodePipeline Jenkins ArgoCD).
- Handson experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes EKS).
- Deep understanding of AWS security best practices networking and IAM.
- Experience with monitoring & logging tools(CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python Bash or Go).
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

- Experience working in SaaS or IoT environments.
