Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Highway Design Civil Engineering Intern to be based in Mechanicsburg / Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
This position is expected to begin in June 2025.
- Internships are designed to introduce and build essential handson skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
- Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad wellrounded learning experience within their field of study.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Design of roadway geometry traffic control as well as signing and pavement markings
- Utility coordination support
- Computer Aided Design production
- Quantities and cost estimates
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- Current enrollment in a college or university pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Must have 1 year of completed study towards B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Capable of using spreadsheet word processing and standard office software
- MicroStation and/or Autodesk familiarity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate effective time management task prioritization and strong interpersonal skills
- Valid US Drivers License preferred to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review.
