Youll work side by side with the iPhone System Integration Team using your technical expertise and interpersonal skills to drive projects forward and ensure highquality results.With a strong foundation in electrical engineering youre not just solutiondrivenyoure ready to dive deep into the nittygritty of debugging working closely with multiple engineering teams to tackle critical tasks and refine our designs. Description
As System Validation Engineers we love the impact we make on the products that reach our customers. Some of our key responsibilities include; Partnering closely with EE design and SI/PI teams to define rigorous test plans for our products focusing on system performance and margining. Driving the of tests plans with subsystem owners and our CM partners. Collaborating with EE and crossfunctional teams to review results and feed validation learnings back into design improvements. Effectively reporting validation progress risks and top issues to the broader team and upper management. Developing innovative validation process improvements such as scripting automation and test board design. Tracking and managing electrical validation schedules partnering with EPMs and technical leads. Participating in debug activities including actively driving design of experiments (DOEs). Leading and coaching other Validation Engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Expertise with hardware bringup and benchtop measurements with lab equipment (e.g. digital oscilloscope logic analyzer power supply) for signal and power integrity
- Basic understanding of both lowspeed and highspeed digital interfaces
- Familiarity with power electronics especially DCDC converters.
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals and experience working on highvolume consumer electronics
- Indepth knowledge of power integrity including analog designs such as DCDC converters
- Experience with Project management and data analysis tools (e.g. Tableau pivot tables Gantt charts etc.
- Ability to rootcause issues and recommend design improvements.
- Experience with scripting languages and instrument automation (e.g. Python Labview)
- Strong communication and people skills. Ability to work multifunctional teams on a regular basis.
