About the School:

This caring Catholic school in Hounslow provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to explore their creative talents through drama. The drama department is a vibrant space equipped with a dedicated drama studio performance stage and technical theatre equipment. We aim to foster a love of theatre and performance encouraging students to develop their acting directing and stagecraft skills. About the Role:

As a Drama Teacher you will be responsible for delivering engaging and wellstructured Drama lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 covering topics such as acting techniques script analysis and theatre history. This role requires the ability to develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students ensuring all students are engaged and challenged. You will assess and monitor student progress through performances presentations and written assignments providing timely and constructive feedback. Additionally you will contribute to departmental meetings participate in school productions and potentially lead extracurricular drama activities fostering a passion for theatre among students.

Ideal Candidate:

You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Drama demonstrating a strong understanding of theatre theory and practice. Proven experience in teaching drama at the secondary level is essential with a track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons. Excellent communication and organizational skills are crucial as is the ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creative talents. You should be proficient in directing plays teaching acting techniques and have a broad knowledge of theatre history and genres. A commitment to continuous professional development is also essential to stay abreast of developments in drama education.
