Responsibilities:
- Support senior engineers in creating mechanical design documents
- Perform mechanical and plumbing design calculations
- Develop schematic system layouts in collaboration with the BIM and estimating teams
- Create and manage 3D models using Revit AutoCAD Navisworks and related tools
- Assist in assembling complete design documents for construction handoff
- Stay current on ASHRAE mechanical and energy codes to ensure compliance
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of HVAC/plumbing systems and commercial building construction
- Familiarity with 3D BIM coordination and design software (Revit AutoCAD Bluebeam TRACE 3D etc.
- Strong communication and documentation skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- FE exam passed; pursuit of PE licensure encouraged
- Previous experience in mechanical design or construction environments
