Job Description
Title: Ready to Work Work Study Employment *STUDENTS only*
Salary Range: $12.00/hour
Standard Hours:10 30 per week
FLSA Status: NonExempt
College: Gateway Community & Technical College
Campus Location: Gateway Various
Department: Student Affairs
Job Summary
ARE YOU A PARENT WHO ...
- Wants to enroll in GED classes or college at Gateway
- Is enrolled in GED or Gateway classes
- Wants to reenroll in college but owes a bill or has a loan in default
- Wants to earn a paycheck that does not reduce certain benefits
Ready to Work (RTW) workstudy opportunities are available to students who qualify for the program.
Job Duties:
- Duties vary depending upon work site placement and the type of assistance needed at the work site.
- Some positions include administrative work and/or light physical activities.
- Efforts will be made to align the workstudy placement with field of study.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Dependable friendly motivated and willing to work in a teamoriented environment.
- Must be receiving KTAP and pursuing further education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- To be eligible for Ready to Work workstudy employment students must be receiving Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP) benefits and pursuing further education: working towards a GED brushing up on basic skills through Adult Education have a college schedule or interested in attending college.
- Work study placements will be on or offcampus related to your field of study and will work around your school schedule.
