Accountant Financial Services
A leading financial services firm is seeking an Accountant to support accounting processes related to financial reporting and transactions. In this role you will work closely with crossfunctional teams to track reconcile and analyze financial data. This is a dynamic position that will challenge you to think critically and proactively enhance efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly accounting close for one or more entities including reconciliations variance analyses and journal entries.
- Record daily transactions such as fund transfers and operational activity.
- Support monthly P&L reporting processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data and balance sheet accounts.
- Identify and explain data anomalies while maintaining proper documentation.
- Assist with external audits tax filings and compliance matters.
- Identify process inefficiencies and help implement automation solutions.
- Handle ad hoc projects as assigned by managers and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
- 3 years of public accounting experience (supporting financial services clients)
- CPA preferred
- Excellent attention to detail organization and documentation skills
- Strong communication and relationshipbuilding abilities
