Job Description/Responsibilities
KLA is looking for highenergy interns for several exciting projects this coming summer in our Ann Arbor Michigan location. This position provides a unique opportunity to learn about bestinclass industrial equipment for the semiconductor industry!
You will have the opportunity to perform engineering work to develop optomechanical subcomponents for KLAs inspection tools. The individual in this role will work selfmotivated in a team with other interns and engineers on a specific aspect of a larger project.
In this position the team member will design model and document optical systems. You will be collaborating with engineers from different fields such as electrical engineering optical engineering and computer science. The candidate will be using CAD and optical raytracing packages. Handson setup and alignment of optomechanical subassemblies in a laboratory environment will be required
Qualifications/Education Desired
The successful candidate should have taken classes in optics and have knowledge of optomechanical fundamentals. Experience with Zemax and CREO is a plus. You will need strong analytical capabilities strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate perseverance and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting with individuals across different geographies.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Optics Mechanical Engineering or related field with immigration authorization to undertake corporate internship projects.
