Job Description
1800GOTJUNK is looking for an Instructional Designer 1 Year Contract) to join our growing team!
As part of the 1800GOTJUNK Learning & Development Team you will play an integral role in the design development and continuous improvement of the learning & development processes and programs for the 1800GOTJUNK franchise system across Canada USA and Australia.

HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Vancouverbased team members work inoffice every other week (TuesThurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Partner with our brand leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design develop and support the delivery of franchisefacing learning and development programs that align with organizational goals and enhance employee performance
- Design and develop bestinclass instructional materials including presentations training manuals elearning modules and other multimedia resources to support various learning initiatives
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the business to analyze training and development needs and design targeted training solutions
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments surveys and feedback to measure learning outcomes and make necessary improvements.
- Partner with the Franchise Operations team to research identify and communicate new learning solutions to address existing gaps in the franchise system
- Collaborate with project management support to identify meet and communicate project milestones.
- As needed support the training facilitation team by facilitating virtual or inperson training sessions webinars and workshops
- Administers the learning management system (LMS) ensuring course content is up to date managing user access and tracking training completion
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 3 years of Learning & Development success in assessment design development and delivery of learning solutions
- A bachelors degree and/or professional designation and/or technical certification in instructional design adult education learning technology or related field.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills for working with individuals at all levels within the organization
- Capable of offering creative instructional designs for a blended learning environment incorporating both synchronous and asynchronous options
- 2 years of experience in elearning design using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360
- Proficient experience with screen capture software such as Camtasia
- Proactive selfmotivated and demonstrated ability to work independently and virtually with minimal guidance. Strong attention to detail. Ability to deal with ambiguity and proactively address change in direction and friction points
- Comfortable getting work done through others by collaboration and influence in order to achieve shared objectives
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary $55000 to $73000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education experience and internal parity).
