Maintenance personnel are responsible for ensuring that amenities are operating at maximum efficiency. You will be dealing with all manner of maintenance tasks ranging from painting through to plumbing and electrical.
What you will be doing:
- Perform all surface preparation painting minor drywall and wood trim repair light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area.
- Maintaining and storing equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance where required and maintain all records.
- Test troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment plumbing electrical components including lamps cosmetic items extension cords replace electrical switches and outlets.
- Act as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status and inform Management of any such emergencies.
- Ensure own safety and the safety of coworkers and follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- Install and maintain a wide range of machinery as directed by Operations.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Emphasis in Technical Trades two or more years experience in a Technical Trade.
- Two years experience as Maintenance Technician.
- Operator Certificate or equivalent trade experience.
- Must hold a valid Alberta Drivers License.
- Clear drivers abstract.
- Forklift and Manlift experience (certification not required)
- Some lifting and carrying (up to 22kgs).
This position requires proficiency in any one of the following categories average skills in two more of the following categories and basic skills in the remaining categories.
- Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Welding
- Metalworking.
- Electrical.
- Mechanical.
- Plumbing.
- Machining.
- Building maintenance.
The schedule for this position may require the availability to do shift work late nights weekends and holidays.
