Position: Material Handler
Primary Objective:
- Operates sitdown forklift to ship countertop products at a Plant Distribution Center location.
- Required to operate highlevel technology equipment and systems.
- Required to manually build support frames for countertop products.
- Complete other duties as required.
Pay Rate:
- Entry Rate: $19.15
- 3 month Increase:$ 20.34
2nd Shift:
- Monday Friday
- 1:00PM9:30PM
- Shift Diff:$0.50
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operates sitdown forklift to load/unload orders.
- Utilizes sitdown forklift to move product into predesignated areas within the warehouse.
- Uses highlevel computer programs and systems daily.
- Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy.
- Conveys picked orders to pack stations or shipping areas.
- Ensures product is placed into accurate locations.
- Conducts inventory control tasks to ensure accurate shipping to customers.
- Troubleshooting highlevel machines and systems.
- Manually builds AFrames and IBeams for support of countertop products.
- Uses the Brenton System a highlevel technology to complete multiple tasks within the warehouse.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to the supervisor.
- Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
- Keeps area safe clean and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience.
Competencies:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good recordkeeping skills.
- Good listening skills
- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to understand and speak English.
- Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
- Must be DalTile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
