Dynamic Earth Solutions (DES) specializes in site planning spatial information and digital terrain modeling surface and subsurface investigations rock mechanics underground structures geotechnical laboratory services flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical hydrotechnical and civil site development expertise.
Are you looking to put your passion for solving spatial problems to great use Hatch Ltd. is looking for motivated GIS professionals to help grow our existing GIS services and solutions team. You will be a key member of the larger team and help shape the next generation of GIS professionals at Hatch and be part of a fast moving creative group that is continually looking at ways to embrace and apply new technologies to better serve our clients.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal and external clients to provide innovative and modern GIS solutions
- Leverage scripts and models to automate GIS workflows
- Support mobile field data collection activities
- Provide rich mapping products to our project teams and clients
- Advocate the use of GIS within Hatch
- Increase Hatchs corporate GIS profile by presenting at conferences and GIS meetups
- Flexibility to travel throughout the Region for short periods of time as required
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate diploma in Geomatics or a related GIS disciplines
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Earth Sciences Geoscience discipline or Infrastructure Planning
- 25 years professional consulting experience
- Teamoriented and selfmotivated individual
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Passionate about mobile hardware and devices
Experience
- Knowledgeable in core ArcGIS software products (ArcMap ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Server Portal for ArcGIS and/or ArcGIS Online)
- Knowledgeable in ArcGIS extensions (Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst)
- Knowledgeable in Esri Mobile solutions including Field Maps Survey123 and Workforce
- Familiarity with Model Builder and Python
- Experience with MS Office and Adobe products are an asset
