BASIC FUNCTION:
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing patient care and technical skills in the operation of diagnostic radiographic equipment for diagnostic evaluation purposes in varying modalities of Radiology.
SHIFT DAYS/HOURS:
Varies. Subject to change based on business necessity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates degree or radiological graduate from an accredited program. ARRT registered.
Experience: One year experience preferred.
Certificates License Registrations: ARRT; RT(R) Additional Licenses RT(R)(M) RT(R)(CT) RT(R)(MR)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: General anatomy knowledge and the ability to multitask. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
Physical: Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds frequently or up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

EXPOSURE TO HAZARDS:
To reduce job hazards this position is responsible for wearing PPE during job functions. PPE can include: gloves gown/coat shoe covers head/face eye and ear protection. Each job function requires a different level of PPE individuals receive initial and annual training to identify the appropriate level of PPE required
Exposed to radiation and highfield magnetic strength; so practice any safety measures available including time distance shielding and a thorough screening of the patient.
