Position: Video Editor and Video Animator Intern
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months
Hours: Parttime
Start Date: January 2025

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Video Editor and Video Animator Intern to join our team. In this role you will assist in creating and editing engaging video content for our marketing social media product launches and internal projects. This internship offers handson experience with industrystandard software the opportunity to work closely with senior editors and animators and exposure to both video editing and animation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Editing: Assist in editing raw footage into polished video content including cutting color correction audio editing and adding transitions.
- Animation: Create simple 2D and/or 3D animations for various media including promotional videos explainer videos and social media posts.
- Content Enhancement: Add text overlays graphics effects and motion design to videos to enhance the storytelling experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the video production team to brainstorm create and refine video concepts and storyboards.
- Asset Management: Organize and manage video files assets and project materials to ensure a streamlined workflow.
- Feedback Incorporation: Apply feedback from the team to improve and refine video content.
- Creative Input: Contribute ideas for video style pacing and animation techniques to improve the overall video quality and appeal.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (e.g. Film Production Animation Media Arts Graphic Design etc..
- Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro DaVinci Resolve etc..
- Knowledge of animation software (Adobe After Effects Blender Toon Boom etc..
- Basic understanding of color correction audio mixing and motion graphics.
- Familiarity with video formats codecs and export settings.
- Strong attention to detail creativity and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your video editing and animation skills (can include personal academic or professional projects).
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with the team.
- Positive Attitude: A proactive and eagertolearn attitude.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience with 3D modeling/animation (e.g. Blender Maya Cinema 4D).
- Knowledge of sound design or experience with audio editing (e.g. Adobe Audition Audacity).
- Familiarity with online video platforms and social media trends (e.g. YouTube TikTok Instagram).
