RMDs Mission:
The Retail Market Development department provides information guidance and insight to its field offices and TMNA business units to create the most effective dealer networks in the industry.
RMDs Vision:
Toyota and Lexus franchises consistently generate the highest return on invested capital and are the most successful and admired dealerships in the industry.
What youll be doing:
- Research customer purchasing patterns and guest experience to support design strategies of the future.
- Support the Manager Dealer Facility Operations in developing alternative retail formats (consumer driven serviceoriented experiential brandfocused).
- Explore potential opportunities to better engage customer experience by creating design prototypes and strategies through creative programming test fits lighting scenarios and finishes using 2D and 3D software.
- Support the RMD strategy that will produce an industryleading automotive representation optimizing the guest experience while maximizing dealership vehicle sales and service business now and in the future.
- Prepare a wrapup presentation to be shared with the reporting manager and other key stakeholders to reflect your accomplishments and experience during the internship
- Familiar with ADA (American Disabilities Act) guidelines.
Internship Eligibility:
Currently enrolled in a fulltime accredited interior design program at a collegiate institution
Available to work fulltime during the Summer 2024 term
Willing to travel within the United States
Must be at least 18 years of age
Lawful unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated strong design research problem solving and analytical skills with ability to think strategically and tactically.
- Customer first mentality.
- Showcase strong concept design development and storytelling capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; proven ability to interface with all audience levels and all levels of management staff outside clients and vendors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word PowerPoint and Excel)
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D drafting and rendering software such as AutoCAD Revit SketchUp and Adobe Suite
- Experienced individual to work collaboratively and crossorganizationally as well as be an effective team member
- Proven track record in collaboration diplomacy and excellent communication skills in helping meet or exceed business goals and objectives
- Put Respect for People at the forefront of their work
- Ability to work onsite at Toyota Headquarters in Plano Texas three days a week.
