Consultant Qualifications
- The Developer Level 3 is required to have the following skills and experience:
- An undergraduate degree in computer science;
- Recent developer experience (last 6 months);
- Recent experience using agile development methodologies with
- Atlassian JIRA (last 6 months);
- A minimum of four 4 years experience in a developer role;
- Proficiency in the following activities demonstrated through code and writing samples:
- Programing testing and otherwise supporting the development and maintenance of systems;
- Translating software specifications into code;
- Documenting technical work;
- Developing technical reference materials; and
- Supporting provision of post implementation maintenance services through liaison with business analysts and clients.
- a minimum of four 4 years experience developing and maintaining solutions in an OpenShift development platform;
- Mobile App development and support (React and MongoDB); and
- a minimum of four 4 years experience developing solutions in the British Columbia public sector context with a working understanding of the security and privacy policies of the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
- Proponents should complete all information solicited in the VMS candidate submission link and in addition provide the following:
- Appendix B Consultant Qualification Summary;
- Resume or curriculum vitae for each proposed Consultant outlining the required expected or preferred experience (maximum four 4 pages);
- Sample code from a recent (less than one 1 year ago) project;
- Description and screenshots of a recent (less than one 1 year ago) frontend development project. If screenshots cannot be provided Proponents should include a reference; and
- Description and sample technical documentation from a recent (less than one 1 year) project. If a sample cannot be provided Proponents should include a reference.
A Developer at Experience Level 3 requires the following skill set:
- Program test and otherwise support the development and maintenance of systems by:
- Translating software specifications into code;
- Documenting technical work;
- Developing technical reference materials; and
- Support provision of post implementation maintenance services through liaison with Business Analysts and clients.
