PAY RATE: $13.00$15.00/hour based upon hands on experience.
THE COMPANY: General Manufacturing designs and manufactures Ultradyne rifle sights and muzzle breaks. Weproudly manufacturer all of our products and accessories in the USA with headquarters located in Columbia MO. All of ourproducts are engineered using a scientific approach which is reflected in the high quality of our designs. Every design contains unique features maximizing performance to provide our customers with the best experience possible.
MACHINE SHOP INTERN POSITION; Our Machine shop Interns will gain hands on experience with our production process which will in turn strengthen your machining abilities. Work under the supervision of a mechanical engineer and perform tasks such as loading raw materials into fixtures observing the CNC machining process post machining deburr and sandblasting.
MACHINE SHOP INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Prepare and load fixtures into three state of the art CNC machines;
- DMG MORI CMX 1100V Vertical Mill
- DMG MORI NTX 1000 5 axis Millturn
- JET Manual Milling Machine
- Learn how to operate and assist monitoring the machining process
- Help hand assemble parts into our finished product.
- Sandblast and deburr as needed
- Assist with inventory tracking of both parts and assembled products.
- Ensure standards are met via our quality control process for parts and assembled products.
- Troubleshoot part/product issues and identify potential design flaws.
- Work with Engineering team to make suggestions in improving overall design quality of products.
- Assist in the design of new and current products as needed.
MACHINE SHOP INTERN QUALIFICATIONS:
- REQUIRED; Positive attitude and hard work ethic.
- REQUIRED:Attention to details
- PREFERRED;Knowledge of firearms parts
- Flexibility in your schedule; can potentially work some weekends as needed when product demand fluctuates.
