Job Description
Job Title: Weekends Only Physical Therapy Assistant PTA
Company: Home Health Care Inc.
Schedule: Saturdays AND Sundays Only (can be every other)
Pay: $42 $46 per visit.
Mileage reimbursement between clients!
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in conducting patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as exercises manual therapy techniques and modalities under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the supervising therapist regarding changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises home programs and safety measures to enhance recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with clinic policies and medical regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred with exposure to both inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Skills in trigger point therapy and experience working with pediatrics or within skilled nursing facilities are advantageous.
- A strong understanding of physical therapy principles including rehabilitation techniques for various conditions is necessary for success in this role.
- Experience in home health settings is a plus but not mandatory.
