The Payroll Lead will oversee and coordinate payroll team functions ensuring pay is processed on time accurately and in compliance with government regulations.

Essential Functions:
- Oversee and coordinate activities of payroll staff.
- Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate compliant and timely manner.
- Direct completion and prepare payroll related documents.
- Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
- Compile data from payroll sources.
- Prepare relevant weekly monthly quarterly and yearend reports.
- Prepare and review general ledger payroll account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate general ledger account balances.
- Review and improve payroll policies and procedures.
- Oversee the maintenance of current employee data systems.
- Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll.
- Apply new legislation impacting payroll.
- Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
- Effectively manage and develop payroll staff incorporating objective performance measures.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration or related field required.
- 3 years of payroll related experience required.
- Vista ViewPoint and/or ADP Workforce Now (WFN) MS Dynamics NAV/Navison and/or JAMIS experience a plus.
- Indepth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of applicable local state and federal rules and laws.
- Proficiency in relevant payroll and accounting software.
