The General Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of Jerk at Nite ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest. They lead by example upholding high standards for food quality service and team development while fostering a culture of trust accountability and excellence. The General Manager has the autonomy to make daytoday operational decisions and is responsible for ensuring that Jerk at Nites policies values and standards are consistently met.
When latenight food options on Howard Universitys campus failed to meet the needs of students pulling allnighters working on projects and attending campus events Jerk at Nite stepped in to fill the gap. We believe that authentic hearty and healthconscious food should be available at any hournot just pizza fast food or takeout loaded with preservatives.
Thats why we serve Jamaicaninfused dishes with an exotic mix of Mexican and American soul food flavorsoffering a better bolder and healthier latenight alternative. As we continue to grow were looking for a General Manager to help us maintain our commitment to quality food excellent service and strong community connections.

Position Responsibilities
Hire and train team members who align with Jerk at Nites mission and values
Foster a positive work environment where employees feel valued and motivated
Hold yourself and your team accountable to high performance standards
Lead by exampleactively working alongside staff to ensure a smooth operation
Provide coaching feedback and development opportunities for team members
Ensure all menu items meet Jerk at Nites highquality standards
Oversee food preparation presentation and service to guarantee flavor and consistency
Monitor inventory ordering and receiving to ensure freshness and cost efficiency
Enforce proper food safety sanitation and health regulations
Be present on the floor engaging with guests and ensuring outstanding service
Encourage guest feedback and use it to continuously improve operations
Actively build relationships within the community and participate in local events
Maintain cleanliness organization and safety at all times
Control labor costs food costs and other expenses to maintain profitability
Maintain accurate financial records including sales budgets and cost tracking
Implement efficient processes to optimize operations and reduce waste
Execute marketing and promotional efforts to drive brand awareness and sales
What Were Looking For
Minimum of a High School Diploma (College degree preferred)
35 years of leadership experience in restaurant management hospitality or retail
Experience handling P&L budgets and cost controls
Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant compliance standards
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fastpaced environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Passion for highquality food and exceptional service
