Assistant Teaching Professor Organization Development and Change
The Department of Sociology Criminology and Criminal Justice at Sacred Heart University (SHU) seeks applicants for a NonTenure Track Assistant Teaching Professor position to teach doctoral students in the universitysPhD program in Organization Development and Change.
This is a 9month position.
Responsibilities
Although the area/concentration of teaching expertise is open the successful candidate will have the ability to teach a range of courses.Examples of courses to be taught include Theory and Practice of Leadership and Followership Work Psychology and Organization Behavior Change Management and Change Leadership Organizational Ethics & Social Responsibility Foundations of Organization Development and Research Methods. Expertise or interest in teaching advanced research methodology courses is highly desired.
NonTenure Track faculty members are also expected to engage in substantive service to the department college and university and to Chair or serve on dissertation committees.
Qualifications
Candidates for this position must possess a Ph.D. in Organization Development or a closely related field. An alternate terminal degree such as Ed.D. or D.B.A in Organization Development and Change or a related field will be considered.A demonstrable commitment to teaching (including successful chairing of or service on doctoral dissertations) research student advisement and ethical social responsibility is strongly preferred. Prior teaching experience particularly of organization development and change and evidence of publication presentation and service in the organization development field and professional community is preferred.
