You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe University of Washington Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine has two academic anesthesiologist positions available at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor on the Liver Transplant Service at University of Washington Medical Center. The positions are without tenure due to funding and are fulltime or parttime with an anticipated start date as early as December 2024 or thereafter. Assistant Professors are eligible for multiyear appointments that align with a 12month service period (July 1June 30. Associate Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12month service period (July 1June 30. Faculty with 12month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12month period (JulyJune) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience qualifications and academic rank. The base salary range for these positions will be: Assistant Professor $29532 $31337 per month $354384 $376044 annually) or Associate Professor $33843 $34181 per month $406116 $410172 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a US Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through the UWP practice plan. Compensation provided by the UWP practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization. Duties include the teaching of residents fellows and medical students and training of clinical care team. Successful candidates will provide general and liver transplant anesthesia services. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching research and service.
Must have MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent). Must be Board certified or eligible (or foreign equivalent) in anesthesiology and must be eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington. Must have a minimum of oneyear fellowship training (or foreign equivalent) in liver transplant anesthesia. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H1B visa graduates of foreign (nonUS) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the US Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Visa sponsorship is not available for parttime positions.
