We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual Patent Agent with at least one year of law firm experience and a degree in material chemical mechanical or biomedical engineering (or a related field) to join our busy patent counseling and prosecution practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and knowledge in chemical engineering or material science.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedomtooperate analyses.
- Analyze patent and scientific papers/documents to support patent prosecution counseling and litigation.
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
- Collaborate effectively with patent attorneys on various matters.
Qualifications
- At least one year of law firm experience and a degree in material chemical mechanical or biomedical engineering (or a related field).
- Strong knowledge in chemical or material science mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering.
- Technical written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A registered US patent agent or eligibility to sit for the USPTO registration exam.
- Initiative fast learning and strong teamwork skills.
- An advanced degree is a plus.

- Annual pay range: $125000 $205000 (dependent on experience and location).
