Job Description
Job Overview:
The Associate Civil/Structural Engineer will conduct structural design evaluations and calculations under the guidance of a lead engineer to support proposal estimating and provide construction support efforts for utility scale solar projects.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proposal Estimating:
o Review client provided reports such as: Geotechnical Topographical Environmental/Ecological Hydrological and flooding studies.
o Conduct an approximate 10 design of the civil and structural aspects of a project with specific focus on piledesign.
o Balance civil and structural design requirements to ensure costeffective project . - Construction Support:
o Support project teams by working with the Engineer of Record to address civil and structural questions and concerns that arise during the design and construction phase.
o Review and provide comments on the Structural design package provided by the Engineer of Record at 30 60 90 milestones.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Geological Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent required.
Engineering Intern (Fundamentals of Engineering F.E. exam passed) preferred.
Proven experience with LPile design software preferred.
GIS and/or AutoCAD Civil3D experience preferred.
Civil grading and SWPPP experience preferred.
Solar related experience preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (i.e. Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint).
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10 to visit project sites as necessary.

- Salary: $65000 $80000 annually dependent on experience qualifications and competencies.
