About The R&D Team
Based within the technical division of the business The R&D Team are responsible for formulating products and seeing them through from concept to the factory whilst also ensuring all testing elements required for the PIF are carried out.
Chemist
Reporting to Senior chemist/ Technical Manager/Head of R&D the Chemist will be qualified to degree level or equivalent and have at least three years experience in a relevant product development role. They will be responsible for taking product briefs from concept through to completion working closely with the relevant teams associated with those projects. They will be required to delegate work to Laboratory Technicians and Junior Chemists and oversee their training.
The position requires compliance with company policy including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (CoSHH).
Role Requirements
Must be competent in maths.
Must be competent in cosmetic science and formulation.
High level of attention to detail.
Must be a team player.
Good organisational skills.
Must keep on top of new developments within the industry.
Must be a competent manager.
Must be willing to assist in the training of others.
Must be a confident at presenting internally/externally.
Must be commercially aware.
Must be able to delegate.
