About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our team. In this role you will provide essential support across all phases of pipeline projects ensuring that design installation commissioning and operability/integrity meet regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in overseeing technical support project design and system integrity management while collaborating with various stakeholders to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general oversight and technical support for all aspects of pipeline systems.
- Oversee project design implementation and documentation performed by third parties.
- Support system operators by providing technical assurance and addressing operational and maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with system operators to provide technical support and maintenance for the pipeline system.
- Develop oversee and plan the system integrity management system.
- Develop and maintain system hydraulic models and run initial simulations for business development.
- Maintain records and documentation systems to ensure compliance and integrity.
- Coordinate project and integrity activities with the Pipeline Operations Team Lead.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering is required; preference for candidates registered as a professional engineer (P.Eng. and/or PE).
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience in project management integrity or other pipeline industryrelated fields; comparable technical or operational experience will be considered.
- Strong project management skills with experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer including developing schedules tracking actions and driving projects to completion.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet task deliverable and schedule requirements while managing stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrated broad business and technical knowledge in problemsolving project management and identifying opportunities.
- Strong facilitation collaboration and negotiation skills to influence and drive results without formal authority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook) and other engineering/technical applications.
- Effective and professional communication skills both verbal and written with peers management stakeholders vendors and service providers.
- Selfmotivated independent innovative responsible and a team player with a strong work ethic and initiative.
- Ability to travel throughout North America (US and Canada) for business purposes.
- Leverage innovation in project planning development coordination and other areas of accountability.
Additional Notes:
- Seeking a pipeline engineer with project management experience not a project manager with some pipeline experience.
- Pipeline integrity experience is essential.
- Approximately 10 of time will be spent in the field.
- Selfmotivated individuals who can manage multiple active projects independently (approximately 20 projects per year).
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills with excellent communication abilities.
