Job Title: Assistant Aquatics Director
Status of Employment: Parttime/Seasonal/Hourly
Supervision of Employment: Aquatics Director
General Statement of Duties: The Assistant Aquatics Director is responsible Assisting the Aquatics Director in the organization implementation and evaluation of aquatic programs for young children teens and overall public.
Distinguishing Features of the Position:
Assist the Aquatics Director in the responsibilities including but are not limited to the following: assist in the hiring training of the lifeguards swim instructors and admission staff to perform their duties to protect the pool facility; instruct the lifeguard staff to teach swimming lessons to young children and adults; hire all pool parttime employees; maintain pool chemistry and cleanliness to Lake County Health Department standards.

Employees are responsible for understanding the importance of safety issues rules policies and to comply with all rules and policies.
Disclaimer
Qualifications and required knowledge skills and abilities: Must be 21 years or older. A minimum of 3 years experience of head lifeguarding. Required Certifications: WSI (Water Safety Instructor) Current FirstAid and CPR Jeff Ellis Instructor Certification. Must be able to obtain a Jeff Ellis Lifeguard Instructor Certification. Implement Zion Park District pool procedures and oversee situations that arise at the pool.
