HR Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Employment

Responsibilities:
Support the Office of Student Employment with the student hiring process for Federal Work NonFederal WorkStudy and graduate student employees
Assist students with on campus job search and inquiries by monitoring the Student Employment inbox offering Zoom meetings and walkins.
Track students progress and completion of the new hire onboarding tasks process; respond professionally and in a timely manner to all questions from students parents and student employee supervisors
Collaborate with hiring managers across university departments to guide them in the job requisition creation and hiring process
Assist in facilitating and developing Student Employment Workshops
Represent the Office of Student Employment in various university events
Learn and utilize applicant tracking system
Work closely with the payroll department
Assist with Student Employee Appreciation Event planning and other department initiatives
Various projects as needed for the Office of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate student or expected to graduate by end of spring 2025 in good standing and enrolled at least parttime at Quinnipiac University
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds while exhibiting a positive caring and helpful attitude
Successful applicants will possess professionalism attention to detail ability to multitask and be highly organized
Ability to maintain confidentiality when required
Ability to prioritize tasks and projects to ensure proper alignment with workload
Prior experience with or an interest in Human Resources Organizational Leadership or Business preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Willingness to take initiative.
Must have reliable transportation to travel to offcampus HR offices and North Haven campus events.
Hours of Position:
1820hrs per week
Must have availability to work Monday through Friday during morning hours
This is an inperson role working from our SE Office at the Mt. Carmel campus
