In your role as a brake Tubes engineer; you will collaborate with a global cross functional team of engineers to develop and release new requirements for current and future brake tubes. Also as part of your job you will work with the brake tubes and supply base to ensure they are developing the right products for future ford vehicles.



Responsibilities

In this position...

  • Lead monthly brake tubes supplier advanced technology meetings to guide the supply base on their new technology roadmap for future Ford products.
  • Be the critical goto technical resource for problem solving in quality investigations Field Service Investigations launch issue resolution and new product development.
  • Leader and expert in FMA (Failure Mode Avoidance) Safe Launch Quality Operating Systems reliability and robustness documentation of brake controls systems.

What youll do...

  • Benchmark competitor and internal Brake tubes and drive efficient technical solutions to lead the industry in optimized designs.
  • Develop brake tubes and technical standards design rules requirements test methods engineering. specifications prevent actions and all corporate memory related to brake tubes and mechanical parking brake.


Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering mechanical engineering or similar.
  • 1 years design and release (D&R) or development experience in brakes.
  • Selfstarter who can learn to use new tools and find solutions ability to troubleshoot & fix vehicle problems.

Even better you may have...

  • Motivation to bring new technologies from concept to production in a short time.
  • Outstanding leadership and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with FMA and related quality assurance processes.
  • Experience in supplier management and cost negotiation.
  • Awareness of or experience with ISO 26262 Road vehicles Functional safety.
  • Experience with complex systems analysis tools & methods.
  • 1 year of experience using Teamcenter (TcE).
  • 3 years of experience in using Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint for presentations and data manipulation.
