Government & Public Sector (GPS) Federal Client Executive Associate Director

Must be in DC Maryland or Virginia

Our Business Development function brings together business sector and account knowledge along with EY competencies and solutions to meet unique client needs. The Business Development Organization shapes and drives an integrated growth strategy across EYs largest accounts industry sectors solutions and services while demonstrating and achieving market leadership through a client centric culture.

The opportunity

As a Client Executive (CE) supporting EYs Government & Public Sector youll be focused on positioning EY for large IT Modernization opportunities. Youll deliver exceptional client service by understanding your clients issues and challenges leveraging the firms capabilities to originate and drive new business opportunities to grow revenue and deepen the customer relationship management. Youll drive global account strategy rigorous account planning and relationship development across your market area.

Your key responsibilities

As a Market Segment Account CE youll be responsible for delivering engagement revenue results as well as personal sales and pipeline targets. Youll develop and drive account planning and act as a strategic advisor and proxy to the Global Client Service Partner (GCSP) internally and externally with the common objective of achieving an exceptional client service experience. Approximately 80 of your time will be externally focused actively engaging with your client(s). Additional time will be spent on strategy and management initiatives.

Youll need to thrive in a matrixed organization balancing the needs of the client against business initiatives and goals. Your ability to develop and build networks will be instrumental in connecting with colleagues across the leadership team and service lines to drive a coordinated market effort. Possessing natural coaching skills youll inspire others with your actions in the market. Youll be a trusted advisor to the GCSP and the account team acting in a consultative manner. Youll be the catalyst that pulls stakeholders together to drive strategic initiatives and enable revenue growth.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • 1012 years of business development experience in the professional services and solutions
  • A proven record of selling complex digital technology and/or managed services solutions to the C level Executives in the Federal space specifically at Treasury Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
  • Strong relationships within the IRS
  • Outstanding client management and relationship skills strong executive presence and influencing skills
  • Solid understanding of the marketplace/industry competitive intel and account information
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging sales tools methodologies and gotomarket models including social media
  • Strong sector or technical content expertise
  • Strong ability to handle and resolve conflict
  • Bachelors Degree

Ideally youll also have

  • An advanced degree or MBA
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Team selling experience

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where youll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127100 to $233000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152500X to $264800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography. In addition our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage pension and 401(k) plans and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our teamled and leaderenabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external client serving roles to work together in person 4060 of the time over the course of an engagement project or year.
