Role Overview:
We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor with at least 1 years experience working in a construction company. This role is suited for a professional who excels in cost management and has a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help to prepare and manage budgets cost plans and tender submissions.
- Measure and value works onsite including interim valuations and final accounts.
- Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and financial obligations.
- Assist in dispute resolution and risk management.
Requirements:
- At least 1 years experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within a construction company.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods materials and contracts (e.g. JCT NEC).
- Degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field.
- Proficient in cost management software and MS Excel.
Please note: Candidates with PQS (Professional Quantity Surveying) or specialist subcontracting backgrounds will not be considered for this role.
