Job Description
We are looking for a Service Engineer to join Value Maritimes team based in the Netherlands! Your job is to be their (wo)man in the field installing maintaining and servicing large equipment on ocean going vessels onsite. Value Maritimes technology is still relatively new but its proven and there is a lot to win in the shipping and carbon capture market. Using your technical knowledge (mechanical and electrical) you deliver the best possible installation. All while maintaining a comprehensive overview and keeping in close touch with the Site Manager on the job and the Project Manager back in the office.
On behalf of Value Maritime MARPRO is looking for Service Engineers.
As a Service Engineer you will take on a tough challenge. No day is the same. Together with the technical team you are responsible for the service and maintenance of Values Filtree systems onboard.. You are responsible for maintaining the pumps sensors and analysers. Should problems arise during the work or operation then you are the trouble shooter and ensure that the system is operational again as soon as possible. You instruct the crew on the operation of the system for daily use.
When a service visit is scheduled onboard of a vessel you will be our technical representative that attends the vessel. This requires not only your technical skills but also great communication skills and costumeroriented attitude. Solving the technical issues faced onboard and providing advise to the crew. Resulting in fully functioning system and a crew that has gained more knowledge of our system and a feeling of trust and satisfaction regarding the received service you as our service engineer

Professional Activities
- Installing and calibrating the systems at different locations
- Ensuring the quality of the systems
- Periodic maintenance
- Resolving unexpected malfunctions
- Maintaining good contacts with the crew
In the warehouse in Rotterdam you make sure that all necessary preparations are in order. You make sure the checklists and manuals are up to date and the equipment you need is ready to go. Besides the responsibility we give you you also get a lot of freedom to perform your tasks as you see fit. When not aboard the vessel you are either working from the warehouse or from home where you will provide remote support to our clients on technical questions and solve issues faced onboard by communicating remotely with the ships crew.

Personal Characteristics
- You have a maritime background (Maroff is a plus)
- You are intrinsically motivated to foster a green future
- You have a technical education level (preferably in electrical and mechanical engineering)
- You know how to deal with the ships crew
- You are not afraid of adventure and possess creative problemsolving skills
- You are fluent in English as you will be working abroad 50 of the time
