Job Description

This role will sit in the payroll team and within Shared Services and will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Manager and Advisor to ensure day to day running of the UK payroll in house. This role will support the whole monthly payroll cycle within the Workday platform from payroll input checking and supporting the team with queries. You will ensure that payroll processes are conducted efficiently whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service. Responsibility to ensure efficient accurate payrolls including training team members Workday testing and complying with internal Audit requirements.

The details

  • Process all Payroll records and reports monthly ensuring accurate Monthly & ad hoc payments to employees and payroll 3rd parties
  • Assisting the Payroll Manager to ensure compliance with HMRC current Legislation
  • Monitoring the Benefits portal to ensure reports shared accurately reflect employee benefit choices
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of Salaries Control Account in line with Finance monthly reporting
  • Assist with Statutory payments absence calculations Benefit queries pension administration
  • Contribute and support the continuous improvement of payroll systems seeking out opportunities to automate manual processes for greater efficiency and ensuring they underpin our Company values.
  • Providing guidelines regular updates and training for PX Admin/Reward teams on any updates to policies benefits or statutory compliance to ensure accurate information processed on time
  • Providing (internal) training & support for payroll administrators.
  • Assist in sharing management of the Payroll People & Pension inboxes ensuring queries are picked up and responded to within agreed timescales.
  • Develop relationships and processes with our 3rd party providers and payroll customers
  • Support with collation and submission of Annual calendar events including End of Year and P11D collation
  • Regularly reviewing and ensuring payroll polices are up to date
  • Understand and ensure compliance regarding employee data with relevance to GDPR
  • Ensuring accurate AutoEnrolment and upload of contributions & records to provider each month
  • Assisting to ensure compliance with the Pensions Regulator HMRC both Internal and external Audit
  • Provide Reconciliation reporting for Finance monthly assist with invoice queries
  • Work with Treasury to ensure accurate payments are created and paid each month for all payrolls
  • Liaise with Systems team to build and test Workday system changes and Biannual releases
  • Supporting our culture by driving Diversity Equity & Inclusion strategies 
  • Ability to pick up and collaborate on payroll projects by understanding defining and scoping out the required configuration of projects working with stakeholders and delivering key outcomes

Internationals

  • Assisting the Payroll Advisor running international payrolls and dealing with ICPs and Provider
  • Exposure to US Germany Hong Kong Turkey & Netherlands
  • Support processing
    • Global Mobility and monthly running of shadow payrolls
    • Payroll reporting and reconciliations with Finance

 


Qualifications :

About you 

  • Payroll Administration experience is essential pension experience an advantage
  • Workday Payroll experience an advantage
  • Excellent administrative skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Intermediate skills in Word Excel PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Excel 
  • Aptitude for numbers data absorbing vast quantities of information
  • Able to keep information confidential and demonstrate 100 discretion
  • Methodical accurate and organised with a keen eye for detail
  • Confidence in dealing with and talking to stakeholders internally and externally
  • Comfortable managing conflicting priorities therefore must be highly organised and be able to manage last minute requests
  • Good attention to detail and can has the ability to join up the dots when dealing with complex enquiries or adhoc invoices
  • Appreciates confidentiality and Director pressures
