Job Purpose:
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on various manufacturing equipment not limited to mechanical electrical and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on various manufacturing equipment such as mechanical electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to increase capability and yield.
- Performs equipment failure analyses including preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment issues.
- Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with technical staff on process improvements and plant changes.
- Operate simple test equipment including but not limited to multimeter tape measure dial indicators and various hand and stationary measurement tools.
- Arrange machinery logistics including rigging and utility connections.
- Fabricate equipment as needed including cutting grinding drilling.
- Ensure that proper safety procedures are used in maintaining and the repair of production equipment.
- Foster Safety program to continually improve safety practices in a maintenance setting.
- Monitor and communicate equipment repairs with operations and production teams to prevent machine downtime.
- Comfortable with email Microsoft word and excel.
Qualifications :
Technical Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- 25 years of experience basic troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment
- Time management skills attention to details and ability to focus on assignment.
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment completing jobs multitasking and must be able to deal with frequent change delays or unexpected events.
- Knowledge of reading engineering electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience repairing and troubleshooting equipment in a Manufacturing Environment
- Demonstrates clear concise communication skills including reading and writing.
- Have good computer skills and able to use Microsoft office products.
- Must be able to work weekends when needed.
