Job Description
Position: Senior Automation Engineer
Location: onsite in Buffalo NY.
Position Type: Permanent; Direct hire
Residency Requirements: US Citizens and Green card holders only.

What Youll Be Doing:
Scope design develop and support costeffective automated manufacturing cells and automation systems including robotics machine tending material handling RFID systems and automated assembly.
Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency utilization and output on existing and future manufacturing processes.
Oversee the specification and procurement of automation capital equipment ensuring a balance between optimizing technological capabilities and return on investment.
Interact with internal teams and external automation integrators to implement automation solutions.
Lead the standardization of automated systems and equipment including preparation of specifications safety standards and thorough documentation.
Lead and manage a team of 38 robotics controls and software engineers while collaborating with crossfunctional engineering and operations teams.
Provide support and continuous development of existing automation projects within the company.
Troubleshoot diagnose and repair automationrelated software and hardware issues.
Travel may be required for research development and installation of automation systems.

What Youll Need to Have:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering with a focus on controls engineering.
10 years of relevant experience including automation and control systems projects.
Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration.
Knowledge and experience with CNC machine tool tending and interfaces.
Background in control system software and PLC programming.
Experience with SCADA and enterprise system interfaces.
Familiarity with Ignition Fanuc and Rockwell Automation.
Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Solid understanding of mechanical software electronics and electromechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
