We are seeking a detailoriented Bookkeeper/Accountant with expertise in Xero and QuickBooks to manage financial records reconciliations and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience financial reporting skills and a solid understanding of compliance requirements. Knowledge of UK or USA tax regulations is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets profit & loss statements and cash flow reports.
- Process payroll and VAT returns (if applicable) while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage invoice processing expense tracking and bank reconciliations.
- Handle monthend and yearend close processes and support financial audits.
- Work with Xero and QuickBooks daily for bookkeeping reporting and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP IFRS or US GAAP (if applicable).
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Xero and QuickBooks (certification preferred).
- Proven expertise in Freshbooks
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of VAT regulations and tax compliance (if UKbased).
- Excellent attention to detail problemsolving skills and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multiple clients (especially for accounting firms).
- Knowledge of UK or USA tax regulations (added advantage).
- Payroll processing experience.
- Familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting.
