AECOM is actively seeking a Mechanical Process Engineering Discipline Lead to provide technical and operational leadership for the Mechanical Process Department in the Water Business Line Chelmsford MA office.
The department consists of Professional Engineers EngineersinTraining (EIT/FE) and Designers under the direction of the Department Head as part of the A/E Design Center a fullservice organization delivering architectural and engineering design services for water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the world.
The position will be focused on providing the operational and technical guidance for the locally based team with additional staff located around the world performing the Mechanical Process Design of water wastewater and associated infrastructure. This senior leadership role will provide technical guidance and develop guidelines to be utilized by AECOM Mechanical Process Engineers worldwide. Operationally the position will be responsible for developing the level of effort required to perform work monitor budget and progress toward completion and provide leadership and mentorship to the group as part of an overall managerial role.
Typical projects include the design and renovations to existing water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities; water wastewater and wet weather flow control and pump stations; mechanical systems associated with dams levees and flood control barriers; and related ancillary systems. Additional project and nonproject duties will require research into equipment and system design including emerging technologies coordination with vendors; the development of technical specifications; engineering services during construction for both designbidbuild and designbuild projects; and participation in AECOM Technical Practice Groups (TPG) related to Process Mechanical Engineering.
