Job Description
AECOMs Water Business Line is actively seeking a Civil Engineer IV. The successful candidate will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to deliver a variety of water wastewater stormwater and resiliency projects. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to
- Planning design permitting and construction phase services and will include activities focused on design of municipal water/wastewater stormwater and resiliency projects.
- Senior technical resource; may serve as technical advisor for the team.
- Communicates project tasks between offices high level of coordination and communication skills required.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise.
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate highquality costeffective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
- Overseeing construction phase engineering services.
- Coordination with clients subconsultants regulatory agencies and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering environmental engineering or related field and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience as Professional Engineer in municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure engineering design projects.
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida or have the ability to obtain a Florida PE license within 1 year of hire.
- Valid US Drivers License and as a condition of employment pass AECOMs motor vehicle records review
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Experience mentoring or supervising other engineering professionals.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience.
- Positive attitude good aptitude and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals.
- Experience in construction phase services.
- Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water wastewater and stormwater projects.
