Founding Engineer
Location: San Francisco
Compensation: $100200k annually

We are looking for a highimpact backend engineer to design and scale our AIpowered healthcare platform. You will build eventdriven architectures integrate LLMpowered automation and shape the future of AI in healthcare alongside a toptier founding team.

What will you do
- Architect and implement a highly scalable eventdriven backend using Node.js TypeScript PostgreSQL AWS Kafka RabbitMQ.
- Build realtime AIpowered workflows to optimize scheduling intake and provider efficiency.
- Design robust event pipelines to capture and structure operational data (e.g. call transcripts scheduling metadata).
- Ensure high availability reliability and security handling sensitive PHI data while maintaining seamless performance.
- Collaborate with AI and frontend teams to build an integrated LLMpowered care delivery system.
What will you need
- 5 years of experience in backend engineering.
- Expertise in eventdriven architectures (Kafka RabbitMQ event sourcing message queues or stateful data architectures).
- Experience with realtime data processing (webhooks event sourcing AIdriven automation).
- Deep understanding of security & compliance in regulated environments HIPAA is a huge plus.
- Strong ability to work in earlystage startups owning largescale architecture decisions.
- Comfortable working with LLMsyou dont need deep AI expertise but you should be excited to build AIfirst systems.
Preferred:
- Founding team or earlystage startup experience (YC preferred).
- Fast career progression (e.g. rapid promotions at FAANG or highgrowth startups).
- Strong GitHub portfolio personal projects or opensource contributions.
- Academic excellence (MIT Harvard or toptier CS/engineering background preferred).
