Job Description
Prescient Edge seeks for technical support specialists to advise future investments in underwater data processing standards and exploitation in support oceanographic understanding and battlespace awareness. The specialist will advise entities with understanding new datasets from increasing numbers of commercial and government sources of imagery sonar and other novel undersea data sources. The person should meet the required level of experience and desired skills.
Requirements
REQUIRED:
- Must have 35 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree in a Scientific Mathematical or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Background and/or experience with data analysis and/or data interpretation.
Strong critical thinking skills technical writing skills and verbal communication skills. - Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well in team settings as well as take independent direction as needed.
- Background in GIS products (ESRI) and Side Look Sonars (SLS) processing.
- Experience with Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) & Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and their support equipment.
- Experience with SLS systems Doppler Sonars Navigation & underwater cameras equipment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word PowerPoint and Excel.
DESIRED:
- Bachelors degree in Oceanography Support to Offshore Oil and Gas industry Underwater Archeology or related field.
- Navy/DoD Experience.
- Knowledge of products like SonarWiz Hypack and WinFrog or related software.
