Womens Reproductive Healthcare The UAB Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology announces the opening of a new faculty position to bolster its Womens Reproductive Healthcare portfolio. Recruitment is for an open rank/open tenure earning faculty applicant with a M.D. or D.O. degree at all ranks. The primary focus of this position is to cover our Labor & Delivery unit. The faculty member may also be engaged in educating medical students residents and fellows within the department. The selected candidate will work an expected schedule that consists of: Twelve 13 hour shifts per month. Ideally nocturnal Labor & Delivery coverage but this is largely candidate specific. The FTE for this position may vary based on the candidates availability and the current needs of the department at the time of hire between a 0.2 cFTE to a 1.00 cFTE. The UAB Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology currently ranks as the 10th highest NIH funded Ob/Gyn program and the institution as a whole is ranked 22nd. The Department is very committed to growing its current research education and implementation efforts in Maternal Fetal Medicine womens health. Required Qualifications
The successful applicant will hold a M.D. or D.O. in Obstetrics and Gynecology; Osteopathic Medicine; Womens Health and/or Womens Education; Nursing; Public Health; or a closely comparable field.
