Description

Afognak Native Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Shareholder Development Manager at our corporate office in Anchorage Alaska.The Shareholder Development Manager plays a crucial role in facilitating the growth and success of Shareholders by providing comprehensive development programs and resources tailored to their unique career paths. This position manages the daytoday Shareholder initiatives related to personal and career development programs. This person will foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including within the organization and external organizations to ensure alignment with objectives to enhance collaboration.

Manage Afognaks Shareholder development programs within the Youth Career Development Adult Career Development and Economic Development benefit strands within Afognak Native Corporation (ANC).

  • Collaborate with senior management and consultants to plan and implement talent management strategies workshop offerings and cohort support to grow Shareholder employment capacity.
  • Collaborate with HR and management on all recruitment related to Shareholders.
  • Build a rapport and represent Afognak on external committees that potentially impact Shareholder employment and development.
  • Administer information to generate reports.
  • Prepare program materials.
  • Manage Youth Achievement @ School Incentive Program.
  • Assist with department budgets and monitor expenditures within budget limits ensuring timely invoicing.
  • Support achievement of Shareholder Benefits objectives and targets set by Board President and CEO.

Empower Shareholders by providing the necessary tools and opportunities to achieve their career goals such as organizing and delivering a range of professional development programs and resources.

  • Coach individual Shareholders on skill development job performance training and other professional development activities to accomplish their career goals.
  • Develop regular student recognition activities.
  • Organize and coordinate relevant opportunities and training programs such as brown bag sessions and workshops focused on skill development and other professional activities.
  • Encourage networking and mentorship opportunities to support Shareholders professional growth.

Provide high quality service delivery to Shareholders and Beneficiaries.

  • Maintain positive relationships internally and with other partners to promote Shareholder access to resources and services.
  • Collaborate with and foster partnerships and with external organizations and institutions to expand development opportunities for Shareholders.
  • Evaluate programs and processes to ensure innovative and efficient management and that objectives are achieved on schedule.
  • Manage logistical support and community engagement strategies for related events and gatherings; and assist with Shareholder events and gatherings as needed.
  • Collaborate to maintain regular Shareholder communications via newsletter mail email and social media.
  • Assist with the delivery of a highquality Higher Education Program (HEP) Iqsak MultiYear Youth Enhancement Program (YEP) and Career Enhancement Program (CEP) Scholarships as needed.
  • Evaluate Afognak Benefit Trusts (ABT) student performance and program services for ANC & ABTs Scholarship Committees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Payrate:$85873 to $107341 Annually



Requirements

Requried Qualifications:

  • Twoyear degree in related field and four years related management experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks at all levels and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required with strong working knowledge of business English spelling and punctuation office practices procedures and documents.
  • Able to exercise good judgement recognize and respect confidentiality.
  • Must work well in a team environment and build relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
  • Valid state drivers license with a clean driving record to qualify as an authorized driver under the Corporations established auto and insurance policy requirements.
  • Able to adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.
  • Regular travel and willing to workdays evenings nights weekends and holidays as required.

Required Experience:

  • Experience advising or supporting career development program services is preferred.
  • Proficient in Adobe and all MS Office suites including Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience developing and monitoring budgets.
  • Preference will be given to those candidates with a working knowledge of and experience with ANCs various programs and operations.
