Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative History teacher to join our outstanding Catholic school in Barking. You will play a key role in shaping the future of History education by delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that foster a love of learning in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver highquality History lessons across all key stages including ALevel.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and ALevel examinations ensuring they achieve excellent results.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and resources to engage students.
  • Create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problemsolving.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the History curriculum.
  • Provide individual support and guidance to students including those with additional needs.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in History or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching History across all key stages including ALevel.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the History curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and challenging learning experiences.
  • Commitment to student success and professional development.
