Job Description
A dynamic Mixed Secondary School in Hounslow is seeking a passionate History Teacher with a focus on modern history. We are looking for an educator who can bring the 20th and 21st centuries to life for our students.
About Our Learning Community:
Our school values historical understanding and encourages students to critically analyse modern historical events.
About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 35 with a focus on modern history.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cover key events and themes of the 20th and 21st centuries.
- Facilitate studentled debates presentations and research projects.
- Assess student progress through essays presentations and examinations providing detailed and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the modern history curriculum.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities such as history clubs and museum visits.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in History specializing in modern history.
- Extensive experience teaching history at the secondary level.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and analytical skills.
- A passion for fostering a love of history and developing critical thinking skills.
